Chimanimani Mountains & Chimoio

Once a resort for wealthy Beira residents, now a farming centre (many ex-Zimbabwean commercial farmers have settled in the region), Chimoio  (formerly Vila Pery) has mild winters and warm summers. Two service stations on the bypass off the EN6 offer fuel, repairs and a selection of spares. Chimoio also has supermarkets, banks, a post office, library, museum, central market and international telephone and Internet office (telecommunicações) at Complexo Shoprite on the EN6. Weary travellers can hang up their battered boots at the simple but comfortable Pink Papaya Backpackers or the more pricey Hotel Executive Manica.
